Make 6 medium bowls from 4# of clay with imagery/decoration added to either the inside or the outside of the bowls.

For this assignment you need to make 6 thrown bowls with a trimmed foot.  Each bowl should have some sort of narrative being presented in the piece.

Don’t forget to keep considering all of the things we have researched so far such as:
How does the piece begin?
How does the piece end?
How does the foot connect to the rest of the form?
How does it sit on the table (is firm? tippy?)
What purpose does this bowl serve?

BEFORE YOU BEGIN THROWING please sketch in your sketchbook 20+ different types of bowls.

The squeezing and stretching of clay has always had a profound impact on me. I hope you enjoy this two minute time-lapse video of me throwing a bowl from three different views.
